Products, docs, and other professional services are rated by a variety of web-based services, so why would anyone object to a web site dedicated to rating lawyers?<br />A lawsuit against a lawyer rating site, <a href="http://www.avvo.com/" target="_blank">Avvo.com</a>, has recently been dismissed (see <a href="http://www.avvo.com/about_avvo/press_detail?article_key=us_district_court_dismisses_case_against_avvo" target="_blank">here</a>, and order <a href="http://avvoblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/order-granting-defendants_-motion-to-dismiss-dec-18-2007.PDF" target="_blank">here</a>). It seems that two attorneys were not enthusiastic about their ratings and sued the site. They lost.
